How Grade Improve Works
Grade Improve helps parents in Singapore find suitable 1-to-1 tutors through a simple matching process. Parents can review tutor applications directly before deciding who to shortlist.
From tuition request to confirmed tutor
A clear process for both parents and tutors.

Suitable tutors are invited to apply
Grade Improve shares suitable open assignments with eligible tutors. Interested tutors submit their availability, proposed rate, experience and application message.

Parent reviews tutor applications
Parents can compare tutor profiles, proposed rates, availability, experience and other relevant information. Where a tutor has provided parent reviews or student result screenshots, these may also be shown for the parent’s assessment.

Parent shortlists up to 3 tutors
Parents may shortlist up to three suitable tutors. Tutor contact details remain hidden until a tutor is shortlisted.

Contact details are revealed
After shortlisting, the parent can view the tutor’s contact details. The parent and tutor then communicate directly to finalise lesson timing and other practical arrangements.

The first lesson takes place
The parent and tutor arrange and conduct the first lesson directly. Grade Improve does not collect the lesson fee from the parent.

Parent confirms the selected tutor
After the first lesson, the parent confirms the tutor they have selected through the secure Grade Improve confirmation page.

Tutor pays the Grade Improve commission
The tutor pays a one-time commission equal to one lesson fee, based on the final agreed hourly rate and lesson duration.

Parent receives a S$20 NTUC voucher
Once Grade Improve receives the tutor commission payment, the parent’s S$20 NTUC voucher is approved and processed.
Simple and transparent
Parents do not pay Grade Improve a matching fee. Tutor contact details are protected until shortlisting, and parents retain control over which tutor they wish to contact and confirm.
